Daffy Duck was created in the 1930s. He is zany and unpredictable and speaks with an obvious lisp. He has black fur and a white neck and was often paired with Porky Pig in the Looney Tunes cartoons.
Daffy was determined to become a star at all costs and was insanely jealous of the success of Bugs Bunny. He tried to steal the spotlight but it never worked due to Bugs' indifference to Daffy.
Daffy's character changed over the years and in the cartoons of the 1950s he was vain and excitable, which led to his beak being shot off by hunter Elmer Fudd on several occasions. As a self-centred and selfish duck, he was at his most popular.
Daffy had his own series of comic books from the 1950s until the 1980s and he appeared in the films Who Framed Roger Rabbit? in 1988 and Looney Tunes: Back in Action in 2003. He also played the lead in Bah Humduck! A Looney Tunes Christmas in 2006.
Daffy has featured in several web cartoons and made cameo appearances in the TV shows Animaniacs, Histeria! and Loonatics Unleashed. In the Tiny Toon Adventures he is a teacher at Acme Looniversity where he mentors Plucky Duck.
